This Policy applies to information collected through this website and through online forms, donation tools, and communications connected to the website. It does not replace any separate enrollment agreement, parental consent form, media release, participation waiver, volunteer agreement, or other document used for an in-person ministry program.

By using the website or submitting information, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. When consent is required by law, we will seek it separately.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, and preferred method of contact.
• Information included in a message, inquiry, prayer request, or other communication you choose to send.
• Student application information submitted by an adult parent or legal guardian, such as the student’s name, age or age range, instrument interests, experience, goals, availability, and other information relevant to program placement.
• Instrument-donation information, such as the type and condition of the instrument, photographs, ownership information, approximate location, availability, and pickup or delivery details.
• Donor information, such as your name, contact details, contribution amount, contribution frequency, designation, comments, and transaction-related records made available to us by our donation platform.
• Any other information you voluntarily provide. Please do not submit Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial-account credentials, detailed medical records, or other highly sensitive information through a general website form.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, our hosting providers and embedded third-party services may automatically receive limited technical information, such as your Internet Protocol address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and the date and time of access. This information may be collected through server logs, cookies, pixels, or similar technologies.

Information from other sources

We may receive information from service providers that help us operate the website, process donations, maintain forms, deliver email, prevent fraud, or respond to inquiries. We may also receive information from a parent, legal guardian, donor, ministry partner, or other person who has authority to provide it.

3. How We Use Information

• Respond to questions, inquiries, and requests.
• Review student applications and communicate with parents or legal guardians regarding availability, placement, scheduling, and program administration.
• Review, coordinate, accept, decline, repair, store, transfer, use, or otherwise administer instrument donations.
• Process, acknowledge, record, and administer financial contributions, including recurring gifts.
• Send transactional or ministry-related communications that you request or that are reasonably connected to your interaction with us.
• Maintain financial, tax, donor, safeguarding, consent, and program records when reasonably necessary or legally required.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, unlawful activity, or violations of our Terms of Use.
• Comply with legal obligations, lawful requests, court orders, and applicable nonprofit or tax requirements.
• Protect the rights, safety, property, and integrity of students, families, volunteers, donors, visitors, the Ministry, and others.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not use student information for behavioral advertising.

4. Student and Children’s Information

Our ministry serves students, including minors. The online portions of this website are intended to be used by parents, legal guardians, adult students, donors, volunteers, and other adults—not by children submitting information independently.

A parent or legal guardian may provide limited information about a minor for the purpose of requesting program information or applying for participation. We use that information for placement, communication, safety, administration, and other purposes described at the time of collection.

We do not knowingly ask a child under 13 to submit personal information directly. If we learn that personal information was submitted directly by a child under 13 without appropriate parental involvement or consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or legal guardian who believes a child has submitted information directly may contact us at bloodworthmusic@proton.me.

Photographs, recordings, testimonials, names, or other identifying information concerning a minor will not be authorized for public use merely because a website form was submitted. Public use should be governed by a separate, specific parent or legal guardian media release.

5. Donations and Payment Information

Online financial contributions are processed through third-party services, including Donorbox and its connected payment processor, Stripe. Those providers collect and process payment information under their own privacy policies and security practices.

Bloodworth Music Ministries may receive transaction information from those providers, such as the donor’s name, contact information, contribution amount, contribution frequency, designation, comments, payment status, and a limited transaction reference. We do not intend to receive or store your complete payment-card number through our website.

6. When We Share Information

We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including:

• To service providers that host the website, maintain online forms, process donations, deliver communications, store records, provide technical support, or help protect against fraud and abuse.
• To authorized ministry leaders, instructors, volunteers, or contractors who need the information for legitimate program or administrative purposes and are expected to protect it.
• To a parent, legal guardian, or authorized representative when appropriate.
• To law enforcement, regulators, courts, government agencies, or other parties when required or permitted by law or when reasonably necessary to protect safety, rights, or property.
• In connection with a reorganization, merger, transfer of ministry operations, or similar organizational event, subject to appropriate protection of the information.
• With your direction or consent.

We do not authorize service providers to use personal information for their own unrelated purposes merely because they provide a service to us.

7. Cookies and Technical Data

The website itself may use limited cookies or similar technologies necessary for operation, security, accessibility, language preferences, or form functionality. Embedded services such as donation forms may also set their own cookies and collect technical information under their own policies.

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Doing so may cause certain forms, embedded services, or website functions to operate incorrectly.

We do not currently state that we use targeted advertising. If we add nonessential analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking in the future, we will update this Policy and implement any consent or opt-out mechanism required by applicable law.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to administer programs, maintain donor and tax records, document consent, resolve disputes, protect safety, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.

Retention periods may differ by record type. For example, financial and donation records may be retained longer than an unanswered general inquiry. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it, subject to legal, archival, backup, safeguarding, or documentation requirements.

9. Information Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the size of our operations. These may include limiting access, using reputable service providers, maintaining account security, and avoiding unnecessary collection of sensitive information.

No website, email system, storage service, or Internet transmission is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use care when deciding what information to submit online.

10. Your Choices and Requests

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may ask us to access, correct, update, or delete personal information associated with you or your minor child. You may also ask us to stop optional communications.

We may retain information when required by law or when reasonably necessary for safety, recordkeeping, fraud prevention, or legal claims.

Even where a particular privacy law does not require us to provide a specific right, we will make a good-faith effort to consider reasonable privacy requests.

The website may contain links to or embedded content from third parties, such as Donorbox, Stripe, social media platforms, churches, sponsors, ministry partners, map providers, video platforms, or form providers. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices, or security.

Visiting a third-party website or using an embedded service is subject to that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.

12. International Visitors

Bloodworth Music Ministries is based in the United States, and the website is primarily intended for users in the United States. If you access the website from another country, information may be processed or stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your country.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our website, programs, service providers, or legal obligations change. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through an additional website notice when appropriate.
